Generation of economic opportunities for migrants, returnees and vulnerable populations in the northern triangle of Central America.
Our Cause
We contribute to increasing economic opportunities for returnees and vulnerable local populations prone to migrate in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, with a special focus on women and youth. In addition, we seek to foster the construction and consolidation of civic collaboration between returnees, their families and local communities, with the aim of preventing forced migration.
We continue to implement the Early Warning System - Migration (SAT-M) which helps us to identify the propensity of people to migrate and to support them in minimizing migration intentions in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.
This project is implemented thanks to the financial support of the Inter-American Development Bank Group Laboratory (IDB/LAB) and we work with partners such as INFOP, Molino Harinero Sula, Vision Fund and local governments in the departments of Copán, Santa Bárbara, Cortés and Yoro.
1,795 families benefited through different WVH methodologies for youth and women who are prone to migrate or return (youth ready, field schools, family gardens, basic grains kits, among others).
